Linen is a material I’ve loved forever. It works effortlessly across interiors, it's relaxed yet refined, soft yet strong. It’s beautiful to live with, to touch, to be in its company.
I've been adding it more and more into my own home and love using it with clients as well. It works in absolutely every scheme and style imaginable, but the best thing about it its provenance and life cycle.
The flax plant is grown with low impact on the earth. It requires minimal water (is typically rain fed) and doesn't rely on irrigation which reduces pressure on freshwater systems and surrounding ecosystems. It is naturally resilient so needs less intervention which helps protect soil health, waterways and biodiversity. The entire plant is used making it an entirely circular process with little to no waste.
Linen returns gently to the earth at the end of its life. It’s 100% natural, breathable, non-toxic and biodegradable - supporting healthier homes, bodies and a healthier planet.
It softens, relaxes and improves with time, becoming more beautiful the longer you live with it.
So I'm very happy to be slowly creating a small-batch linen homewares collection.
They’re designed to work in any space, sitting comfortably alongside changing styles and our ever evolving homes.
Move the furniture. Change the paint colour. Layer in other textiles and prints on top. Shift a space as life changes. But let the linen remain.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
